Design Approach

With the surge in demand for more housing in Sydney, the owner decided to cash in on his free standing home in Sydney's north west, and turn it into a dual occupancy.

The major challenge for this project was overcoming council's onerous flood planning requirements. The building need to be raised due to flood levels mean an increase in the building height, which affects the visual bulk of the building.

After assessing the feedback from council, the owner has decided to put the project on hold.
