Dual Occupancy

As Sydney grows denser, many small developers are turning stand alone houses with large back yards into dual occupancies.

However no matter how perfect the location, some sites are much harder to develop due to many environmental factors.

The client for this project thought it was the perfect sized site, and location to build, but as our design got further, and discussions with the councils got further, it appeared that the sloping nature of the site and trees on the neighbouring public reserve posed major problems with a large building.

After weeks of protracted discussions with the council engineers and tree department, we were finally able to come up with a solution to satisfy both the client and the council.
